Mega Edin Wish Box: Celebrate Dasara with Underprivileged Kids
Edin Bridge Foundation & Mysore HR Forum has a legacy of starting any initiative with a CSR activity. The whole team wanted to start the HR Dasara with the “Mega Edin Wish Box”. Wish Box is a unique CSR initiative by Edin Bridge Foundation, Mysuru & Mysore HR Forum, Mysuru where every first Sunday of the month, the team of EdinCSR Volunteers will visit an NGO & serve the food that kids/inmates wish. The food can be anything they wish rather than what we serve. Edin Wish Box initiative started on 02 Jan 2022 in fond memory of Late. Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar. This is a self-funded CSR initiative & funded by HR professionals, other cross-functional professionals & academicians across Karnataka.
As a part of Mega Edin Wish Box the EdinCSR volunteers celebrated Dasara with underprivileged Kids. Children from Chayadevi Ashrama, Jayanagara, Mysuru, were delighted to receive new festival clothes through this initiative. They were then taken to the exquisite Country Inn Hotel, where they enjoyed a luxurious 5-star lunch in the company of HR professionals and academicians. Following the delightful meal, the children were treated to visits to the Mysore Palace and Mysore Exhibition, where they relished the tasty cone pizzas provided.
Notable participants in this program included Mr. Prashanth G B, CHRO of Colortone Textiles, Mr. Prashanth from Excelsoft Technologies, and Mr. Raghav from Red FM. They were joined by esteemed members of the Mysore HR Forum, Edin Bridge Foundation, and Karnataka TPO Forum.

The 2nd program of HR Dasara was an online debate with the topic “HR - People Centric or Business Driven?”

The entire debate was skillfully moderated by Hemalatha S, Head of Edin CSR. A total of 200 participants which includes HR professionals, professors, and students from various organizations actively participated in the webinar.
The event was also live-streamed on YouTube, reaching a wider audience.
HRs & Academicians' Industrial Visit
An industrial visit was organized for 40 HR professionals and academicians, starting from the Balarama Gate of Mysuru Palace. The visit aimed to provide insights into various industries and their operations. The itinerary included three prominent organizations: Seiren India, TVS Motors, and BEML Mysuru.
At Seiren India, the participants gained in-depth knowledge about the company and its products. They were privileged to visit the production area and witness the efficient work environment with large machines. Next, the group proceeded to TVS Motors, where they had the opportunity to interact with the top management. Discussions covered various aspects of the company and its bikes. The participants were given a tour of the production area, witnessing the manufacturing of thousands of bikes daily. The visit concluded at BEML Mysuru, where the participants learned about the company's operations and its specialization in heavy trucks and earth movers. They also received insights into upcoming technologies and upcoming projects of BEML.
The team extended their sincere gratitude to the management and HR teams of the esteemed organizations who supported and facilitated the visit: BEML, TVS Motors, and Seiren India. Corporate Cultural Festival 2022
The 4th activity of HR Dasara was the Corporate Cultural Festival 2022, a 1st ever corporate cultural competition organized for the employees of corporates & educational institutes of Namma Mysuru. The competition categories included Song (Solo), Duet Song, Dance (Solo), Couple Dance, Group Dance, Mimicry (Solo) & Corporate Skit. About 20 individuals/teams from various companies & institutions participated in the festival.

Session on Labour Codes for IT HR Professionals
The 5th Program of “HR Dasara” was an interactive session on the topic "Labour Codes to IT HRs". The session was the 1st-ever labor laws session for IT HRs of Namma Mysuru & it was a remarkable event, with more than 70 HR professionals from various IT companies attending it.
The session was inaugurated by Shri Prashanth, Head, Corporate, Excelsoft Technologies, Mysuru & Shri Shivakumar S, Head, Support Functions, Excelsoft Technologies, Mysuru. The whole session was facilitated by resource expert Shri Vasantkumar N Hittanagi, Joint Labour Commissioner, Govt. of Karnataka
The session highlighted several significant aspects, including major labor reforms & new provisions specific to the IT industry. Attendees gained insights into key changes under the codes in comparison to existing laws, the impact of the codes on operational costs & long-term liabilities, as well as the enhanced responsibilities of employers & the role of IT HR professionals in implementing the codes.
The session received overwhelming success, & thanks to the esteemed dignitaries who graced the occasion & provided their unwavering support & encouragement. National Level HR & TPO Conclave 2022
The biggest & richest program of “HR Dasara” was “National Level HR & TPO Conclave 2022” The conclave was organized in association with the Karnataka TPO Forum. It was the 1st ever-successful National level HR & TPO Conclave held in Namma Mysuru.

Approximately 80 company HR professionals, CEOs, & leaders actively participated in this conclave, along with around 100 TPOs, Principals, & academicians.

HR & Business Quiz for Students
The "State level HR & Business Student 2022" quiz competition was a collaborative effort between the Mysore HR Forum, Edin Bridge Foundation & the Department of Business Administration, Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Mysuru. Enthusiasm was high as over 80 teams from various management colleges across Karnataka participated in the quiz competition. The HR & Business Quiz 2022 proved to be an outstanding success.
A special acknowledgment goes to the exceptional quiz master, Shri Shiva Shankar, whose remarkable skills & expertise added to the success of the event. Furthermore, heartfelt thanks are extended to the Department of Business Administration at VVCE, Mysuru, for their diligent efforts in ensuring the seamless execution of the quiz competition.

The penultimate program of HR Dasara was "HR & CSR Excellence Conclave 2022" organized for the Industries of Karnataka. In the conclave several Companies & Educational Institutes from across Karnataka presented their best HR Practices & CSR Initiatives.

HR DASARA – An insight into Mysore Industrial Prosperity
The final day of HR Navami, the one-day industry & culture conference titled "HR DASARA 2022 – An Insight to Mysuru Industrial Prosperity," was held on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at SDM IMD, Chamundi Hill Rd, Mysuru.
The esteemed inauguration of the final day of HR Dasara was graced by His Highness Shri Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar. In his speech, His Highness praised & commended the concept of HR Navami, emphasizing the importance of the 9 days of unique activities. Speaking on "Mysuru Industrial Prosperity," His Highness highlighted the history of Mysore's industrial development & the significant contribution of the Wadiyars to the erstwhile Mysore State. He mentioned the establishment of major industries such as Mysore Lamps, Mysore Soaps, Mysore Paints, & Varnishes during the Wadiyars' reign.
His Highness further discussed ongoing industrial & city development projects, including the 10-lane Bengaluru-Mysuru Economic Corridor project, the Multi-Modal Logistic Park (MMLP) at Kadakola near Nanjangud, the expansion of the Mysore airport runway, & the international cricket stadium. He emphasized the importance of digital infrastructure development, highlighting that Karnataka, the Silicon Valley of India, is home to major IT industries & has a significant impact on the cybersecurity & digital economy of the country. His Highness stressed the need to build a Cyber Resilient Karnataka for a cyber-safe India. He shared insights into "CYBERVERSE," an initiative aimed at protecting India's digital economy & positioning India as a global leader in cybersecurity skill development, capacity building, & R&D.
The conference focused on the industrial development & overall growth of Mysuru. It explored ongoing & upcoming industrial projects, challenges faced by industries, & the growth potential of Mysuru. The economic development of Mysuru, the contribution of various sectors to the GDP, & new job opportunities were emphasized.
The conference featured panel discussions on topics such as India's first & largest Semiconductor Plant Project (Rs. 22,900Cr), initiatives of Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) in Mysuru, the growth of the healthcare industry in Mysuru, & the impact of industrialization on pollution & cultural changes.
The conference concluded with the HR & CSR Excellence Awards 2022 & cultural programs, including classical dance & musical concerts performed by various college teams.
